Agenda
@keum Peter will talk about Long Pole Aerial Photography(LPAP) that he got inspired by Public Lab few years ago. He’ll talk about how he is using it in King County Wastewater Treatment Division and share his workflow plus some potential side projects for CUGOSians. Here is my presentation slide
@akadouri Ariel will show you how to load an area from OpenStreetMap, load it into PostgreSQL with PostGIS & pgRouting via osm2pgrouting, and run a bunch of queries that start from a central point to a bunch of other points. In his case, from Penn Station, NY to all the surrounding pizza places. This will be motivation for him to finally publish the written tutorial online.
@powersa will talk about how to write a really slow PostGIS query, then make it faster. The key to success is setting the bar low, then making yourself look good by doing what you could have done in the first place.
@you tell us about something cool you are working on.
